Evi O. is an artist, designer and publisher with over 15 years of award-winning industry experience. Her art practice was initiated by a genuine personal drive to explore and express human curiosity and ultimately understand and further contribute to the bigger environment. Finely balanced colour is the cornerstone of Evi O’s practice, and her works are reduced and abstracted. Running a design practice that exposes her to varied dimensional, media and spatial challenges influence her artistic approach, where play of medium and materials become tools that convey the conceptual foundation. Art and design are conduits to her creative odyssey.
Evi has exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne and New York and she debuted at Sydney Contemporary 2019 with ‘Fantasia’ – a sell-out solo presentation at Saint Cloche’s inaugural booth. Evi’s work has been acquired by City of Sydney Civic Collections, QQT Deloitte Collection and Westin Miyako Collection in Kyoto, Japan. She has also contributed to public spaces in Sydney, notably the Sydney Light Rail as part of 4A Center for Contemporary Asian Art’s 2024 program.
In the design sphere, she leads Evi-O.Studio – a design office renowned for their highly-crafted, impactful design which strikes a balance between beauty and function. Through her publishing imprint Formist Editions, Evi O. publishes cultural titles of the highest standards. She has participated in various international industry associations, notably as one of ABDA’s founding members and a member of the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
